Those are productive but not the most fun. If I am not fly fishing for them then I will be throwing your typical jerkbaits and the most fun in my opinion Pop-R's, Torpedos, or Skitter Pops
Try one next night out. Don't "pop" the bait or jerk. Instead all you do is a painfully slow retreive creating a "V" wake with the lure. I have had fish come completely out of the water hitting it. The browns will crush it like a bass under lilly pads on a frog.
This one was a Pop-R eater last fall.
