I don't know what a zebra midge is but that thing looks like it needs to eat a few extra meals. Nice fish :)

They stay in there better than other stock sites because they spread out. Went out last time with a buddy of mine 3 weeks after a stocking and caught 52. That's a nice one!

We focused on small holes that people probably didn't look at twice. Where a submerged stump or rock made the river bottom shift from 1.5' to 3-4'.
We also fished the main which accounted for around 30 of the 52. We were using TM's, but Nymphs work too. How was the water level?

Nice fish Destin. Luke down at Normandy the trout will survive through July....as a matter of fact they do a stocking in June down there. For you it is closer just to go to the Caney...but just a short drive for me to Normandy. They are spread out plentiful through 6.8 miles of the river. My son had a couple of 18 inch fish from there last spring. They stock here in Columbia but just not a good place to fish.

Question is, did it become his meal for the night. You got to practice strict catch and eat.

Water levels were 4-5ft, flowing at about 150ft/s
