Barrel swivels
I am going to get me some barrel swivels for when I use spoons for trout.
I have never used them for much of anything before. Thinking the barrel swivel will take at least some of the line twist out caused by the action of the spoon. Gonna be using a 2/5 oz acme spoon. What size swivel should I get? I am very ignorant on them and their sizes. |
I don't use swivels for trout. I don't have any line issues and I use Kast Master spoons...mostly the 1/12....1/8....and 1/4. Now having said that I know they can cause a lot of line twist on spinning gear. If I was going to use a swivel for trout it would be these.
http://www.aquateko.com/Aquateko_Inv...wivels_s/3.htm The company sent me some samples and I did use them on the Caney and they worked fine. They are made of fluorocarbon and are extremely strong. The problem I had was the size I wanted to use were so small my old eyes couldn't see to tie them...LOL. I can highly recommend them though. Regards |
Thank you sir.

Ruger, use Nanofil and you won't have to worry about line twist.

The Nanofil, is it a flurocarbon line?
Does it disappear under water the way fluro does? |
