Old Hickory Lake fishing report 7/30/2014
 

It was another great day on the water with great friends. Mr. ED and I in my boat and Ken in his boat went fishing in the creek to the right of lock 3 ramp, that's when you put in at this ramp. The creek is full of bait fish and the LM bass, yellow bass, white bass and black drum are hammering the bait in the morning till around 10am. I was using my 1/8oz feather spinner bait in all white and hook 4 LM bass and landed 3 and 3 real nice white bass. MR. ED caught 3 LM bass, 1 yellow bass and a drum on a white road runner. We will be going back out tomorrow morning for more fun so till then good luck fishing and GOD BLESS ............WOODY P.S. so,where are the pictues of jack and you fishing?

Jack is back home.

If you are out that way Sunday Woody holler at me and my little one. We are going to put in at Lock 3 for her first kayak paddling with some fishing mixed in.

Won't be hard to miss just look for a blue kayak with a cute little girl sitting next to an ugly guy. :D

I'm looking forward to seeing ya and I'm the clean shaved old fart in a cowboy hat in the blue tracker................woody

I think we missed you Woody.

Me and the little one arrive about noon I guess or somewhere around there. We paddled over to the cove then she wanted to jump out of the kayak and swim some. So we hopped over board and floated/swam for a little while. She thought that was the coolest thing swimming in the "middle" of the lake.

Didn't really fish too hard more less a swim trip as we ended up playing around in the designated swimming area afterwards.

I also want to say nice meeting the other forum member at the parking lot with the lure's. Hopefully you'll respond and can put a face to your screen name.

I'm there from 5:30 am till 10am and sorry I missed you but there was a new comer out there with his little family in kayaks.............woody

It was great to meet you both as well. We had a good time that morning. The kids really enjoy being out on the water with us. We like launching from Lock 3 since they have the swim area there. It's a safe place for the kids to play while we get the kayaks loaded and unloaded.
