7/8/14 Hybrids
The fish were pretty active early on, seem to have slowed a bit now.
Caught three, 7, 7 1/2, and 8 lbs, lost about a four pounder boatside. Fishing in 28 FOW, live bait downlined at 18-20'. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/08/u8ezyhe6.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/08/u6uby9ym.jpg |
Awesome, Merv! When can I come? :D
Ashlyn and I just ate our last Hybrid fillets from this Spring over the weekend so it's time to get some more in the freezer! |
I would say come now but they seem to have moved. I'm looking for them now.

I'm a working stiff, remember? Work getting in the way of fishing again. On Monday morning I'm already checking the weather for the weekend and planning where I want to go.

Nice fish Merv! What lake?
|
J Percy Priest, lower end, by Cook's landing.
|
Merv, what are you using for bait this morning? Started the change over to the Great Lakes setup.
|
Good looking fish, Merv! Aero must've taught you a thing or two haha. I finally get back in town Saturday. Can't wait to be back on the water.

Merv is a quick study!

Nice job my friend!
Awesome looking fish! We have to get out there and slay them when I get back .
|
Those are some healthy looking hybrids, good job. Great to see our lakes producing in such abundance! Fairly similar to crappie fishing eh, just upgrade the minnow size, move to the drops, and wa-la. Be careful- blacken them on the grill and you may never look back.
|
Good job Merv.

Nice hybrids! We're you using gizzards? Threadfin? Shiners? Where are you catching bait? Stewart's creek?
