Go-No Go gauge

I wanted to check and see if anyone has a Go No Go gauge for a mosin nagant? I am refinishing one and need to check the head spacing and thought I would see if I could use one before spending the money on it.

I've never heard of a MN with excessive headspace unless the barrel had been removed. What we used to do is bungee cord it to a tire, tie a string to the trigger and shoot it from a safe distance. If it didn't blow up, it was ok. We would check the brass(steel) and see if anything was out of whack.

I'd just shoot it unless you suspected it was bad.

You can do that, and that's probably what I will do. I just though I would look into doing it the right way :) The barrel has not been removed, to my knowledge.
