Is it just the whole bunch of baitfish that's kind of what I'm thinking

No....of course I have a Humminbird but the theory is the same. Fish in down scan will show up as grains of rice. Also the cloud could be temperature inversion....moss. You can see the cloud in the upper right hand portion of your si also. It could be some baitfish. Next time you come onto something like that zoom in on it. There is fish in there for sure. Have you played with your color palettes? For me the white palette is best for my eyes. It is something you need to try. Nice pic.

I have changed colors still seeing which I like the best. Thanks

I was thinking the same thing as alpha. Maybe moss or algae or even mud from some type of disturbance. The brighter trails on the left look like limbs to me.

Also on the left you think that is fish amongst brush? The whiter longer images?

Here is a DI shot of what I know to be a tree. Somewhat similar in the style. Your tree might be out on the edge of the transducer range.

So with just Sonar, you will get some of the longer lines/arcs suspended to be fish, i get that, but will you still get that with DI/SI? i would have thought those to be moving fish in the picture originally posted, same as regular sonar. My knowledge of DI/SI is this: its really cool and i want it, other than that, i dont know alot about it, i know the principal behind, but not the finer points, much like my Tree Limb/Moving Fish question.
Awesome screen shots though! great pics! |

The green was one of the better ones on the Lowrance unit. |
Thanks for the response Alpha. Ive been eye-balling them for a while now. What ever i get, i know im sold on the larger 7" screen, and with as much vertical fishing i do, i certainly want as clear and detailed pictures that i can get. I would love to get the 360 Unit, but that thing is like 5 times the value of my boat/trailer/motor/current humminbird unit! LOL.
I dont know if i can justify that one with the wifey-to-be! LOL. |
