Kayak accident

Just in case someone did not see this report. It is sad. Please be careful out there in those yaks.

I've been hearing about it, but don't know much about it. Lowhead dams are very dangerous, and you should be familiar with your surroundings and the dangers that the water possess. Prayers go out to the families and people involved. I hope both were wearing their PFD's.

They were wearing PFD's. There was too much under current for the PFD to save the one yakker.

PFD's are not 100%. This is sad news.

I saw that...very sad. Jeremy I know you have fished that river...have you seen that dam?

I am not familiar with that area of the river. I just looked it up on the map and it doesn't look like you can portage around the dam easily.

That is sad news.

Prayers go out to the families and friends.
