While my brother had Alphahawk distracted crappie fishing today I sneaked into his secret smallmouth spot. Only had about 5 hours to fish as I had to be back home in time to go to a concert tonight. Fished hard for 2.5 hours with just a few small fish to show for my action. After I ate lunch I switched to the Trout Magnet float rod and used a purple redemption Trout Magnet. For the next 3 hours I caught about 30 smallmouth like the ones pictured below. The sad thing is I missed about that many also. All were caught using SOS 4lb. line under a Trout Magnet float. Fish were in about 10 feet of water. Going back tomorrow.

You had a great day there! I heard from a customer of mine that purple is a great color for CH. I can't believe you got that close to the CFR and didn't wet a line though... LOL. Hope you have another hot streak on them today.
