Williamsport fishing report 04/14/2014
 

Spent a couple of hours out at Williamsport and had a good time. I caught 35 crappie at Blue Cat and 8 were keepers between 10-12 inches. I would say that if someone put in a half a day or so one could get a limit of fish from there. I caught quite a few Gills real chunky but only 6 inches in length. Shell Cracker is another story. I stopped by there hoping to see similar results. It was not to be. Caught a lot of crappie but nothing legal. A guy beside me caught 96 crappie today and took home one legal fish.......way too many crappie in that lake. All my fish were caught on a Bison colored Trout Magnet. The small crappie were really colored up nicely. Big fish were busting surface off and on...hybrids or large mouth...or both.....couldn't tell.
