old hickory lake fishing report 4/2/2014
 

Well the crappie are here but the Bass are more fun to catch. My good friend ED LANE and I went out this morning early and the water temp was 55.6 and the bass were chasing bait so I started with the 5" swim bait and caught one LM bass and Mr. ED was using a black and green twister grub and caught a LM bass. Then I change to a #5 shad rap in black and silver and with a fast jerking retrieve the bass would slam it. All together I caught six LM bass, one yellow bass ,two shad and a crappie and MR. ED caught three LM bass ,three yellow bass and four bluegills. All in the back of the cove that I fish all the time. So till the next time out good luck and GOD BLESS..............WOODY p.s.
