Cheatham Dam

Anybody fish below the dam for stripe/white bass?

I've just gotten 2 reports that the fish are jumping in the boat right now. I'm going in the morning. I'll keep ya posted.

I have not been this year but think I would be fishing from the bank with the amount of water they are letting thru (55K CFS). That's a lot to be out in a boat. I'd try below the wing wall on the lock side or the second set of stairs with the slough on the generator side. Look forward to seeing your report.

I had one buddy tell me they caught 22 white bass yesterday on the Cumberland.

Where'd you see them?

Did he send you a photo?

Dang, you should have been there since fish were jumping in the boat. Most likely the only way one can get in your boat.
OTH, they probably would have been Asian carp. :):)

Oh, the jealousy that SAMBOLIE doth have for me!

I believe his motto is "if you can't beat them ATTACK THEM"!

WE GOT EM!!!

Put in below the dam and was on the water by 9:30. The river is falling and muddy. We ran 2-3 miles downstream and fished the first muddy bank we came to, but never got a nibble. When we got to Barton's Creek, the water instantly cleared up, so we went up Barton's Creek about a half mile. Every other cast caught a fish. Most were taken on a #7 Shad Rap or a Little George. The Shad Rap was the hot bait of the day though.

The fish are on ice, but I will post pics in the morning.

Almost forgot, water temp was 44.3 degrees.

Glad you hit'em! Crappie or bass? I'm thinkin bass on a shad rap, especially a #7.
