old hickory lake fishing report 12/18/2013
 

I went out today since it was going to be nice and it was. I went to the cove around the corner from lock 3 ramp and started fishing with the wee-shiner under a slip float but with the water being cloudy and the wee-shiner so small I couldn't see it. So I tried a black slider with a chartreuse tail and troll it in 5 to 10 foot of water and also casting with no luck. So I used the color slider that caught me fish the last time out and sure enough that was the color that I hook 5 small LM bass and landed 4....................woody P.S. The water temp in the morning was 44.5 and in the evening was 48.3 top water.

Good to see you getting out in December Woody. Do you wear waders in these temps, even on the boat like me? I fished the steps on the Caney Saturday night and wore my insulated waders and my Carhartt coat and stayed toasty.

Yes the next day and tried a jig an minnow under a float to the right of the steps with no luck................woody
