Fish Finder

Hey guys I'm currently in the market and research for a fish finder. I wanted to get y'all's input on your opinions. Lowrance? Side scan? how much does a high $$ sonar change your success? Etc. thanks ahead for any input and experience gathered!

Unless you want to go bigger. Then you move up to the 798 or 998's.

The ability to have GPS and mark places, brushpiles, ledges, humps on the maps (you'll need to spend $$$ on a Navionics map card) is invaluable. Being able to look to both sides and spot structure way off the sides of the boat, awesome.

Seeing all the contours of the lake BEFORE you get to them?? Priceless!

Unless you are in a hurry tacklewarehouse.com will more than likley put the elite 7 on sale for around 525.00 during the 25 days of christmas. I would hold out for that. 525 is a great deal for that unit. I am going to try and order one.
