Old Hickory Crappie

Hi, Everyone. This is my first post, although I have been following you all for a few months. I have certainly learned a lot from your posts! Caught these crappie today on Old Hickory in the area of the steam plant. All were caught on minnows in 15 ft of water on sunken trees.

Welcome, that looks like a nice mess of crappie you have there. I am going to troll for some on OH next Tues for a little while. Trying to stay away from water until this holiday weekend passes.

What kind of table is that? My wife would rather me use something like that to clean fish rather than her kitchen sink. :D

Thanks, everyone. Travis - not sure of the name of the table, but I got it at Academy Sports. It's a nice table. Has a clip for your hose, and a hole to put scraps through. It is actually easier for me to clean them on that table than at the sink, but it was really hot doing it today! - Speaking of cleaning fish, does anyone know the best way to sharpen electric filet knife blades?

Nice fish and I like the table also. As far as I know you can't sharpen those blades. I just buy new ones but have ordered a knife that agelessone has recommended. Old Hickory has been producing crappie a long time. Started my crappie fishing there back in 1963. Welcome to the forum.

Regards
