old hickory lake fishing report 8/16/2013
 

Today was a great day on the water. Nothing big but who cares when you are have fun. My day started off with no wind and no fish until I pick up a rod that had a little wee shiner that I use to make. The hole thing is 3/4" long including the stinger hook and it looks like the shad fry. Well I caught more fish on that little bait then anything else. I used it under a small weighted float because it by its self has no real weight to cast it. The float was 18" from the bait and using a pop an retrieve or just a slow retrieve the fish would hit it. I caught bass ,gills, cats, yellow bass and white bass...........................woody
