Headed to Williamsport for the 1st time

I'm just kind of curious as to what to expect. Is it normally pretty crowded this time of year? Also, I've heard the roads are a bit rough. Am I going to have any trouble in my 2wd truck?

I'm just going to be targeting LM tomorrow. I was planning on fishing Shellcracker but I certainly wouldn't be opposed to fishing any of the other lakes. If anyone else is head that way tomorrow, Ill be in a 14ft Crestliner with a 25 Merc on the back.

You don't need a 4 wheel drive. It is just the road is bumpy limestone. Dust as fine as talcum powder. It will be crowded. I can tell you a lake that gets overlooked a lot if you are hunting large mouth...it is Golden Eye. I have had my kayak in there. Hardly anyone ever puts a boat in there. I saw big bass busting all up in the trees....and in the middle of the lake......on several occasions.
