Cumberland River (Clarksville area) 30 May 2013
10 Attachment(s)
Due to being busy at work and home, I haven't checked out this forum in a while and see I have about 5 pages of posts to go through!
Now that the river here in Clarksville is back to normal, I took the day off yesterday and did a little morning fishing. I put in at the Marina around 5:15 am (no one else out there, just me, my boat and the sunrise :)) and stayed on the right side, hugging the shore, while letting the slow current float me downstream for a couple of miles. The fish were very tight to cover and although I threw spinnerbaits, redeye shad, shakey head, jigs and even a TN version of the A-rig, the only thing I caught fish on was a black, 4" Senko, fished weightless and texas-rigged. Around 10 that wind started kicking so I headed back to the ramp because the last time I fished in real windy conditions, I had the hardest time getting the boat back on the trailer because the wind kept blowing me sideways LOL. Here are a couple of pics... |
Looks like you made up for those days missed in one day....LOL. Good report and nice looking fish.

I was going to head back out today. But I got up bright and early, and when I checked the weather, they said "Expect thunderstorms to begin at 6:15 am". Well, here it is 8:45 and not a drop of rain yet. LOL

Good report. The stick bait is a remarkable post-spawn bait.

Great report and Pic's !!! <'TK>< :)

Thanks! The Senko is my confidence lure and I've caught more fish on it than any of the others combined. There's something about a 4", black Senko the bass just can't resist.

Good report. That's a big spot in pic 1958.
It will be interesting to see how the FLW southern divisional goes out of the marina this week. I bet a lot of them will make the long run to Dover and beyond. |
