What brand of 2 lb test line do you trout magnet guys like the best? I don't care for the brand that is sold by the trout magnet company.
Thanks!

I also use the P-Line CX premium. Its a Flouro coated line. Very small diameter and i really like how it casts.

Sos

I used P-Line CX Premium for about a year. It is a great line and casts great. I found that in that size the P-Line's diameter is so small it can cut into the knot you tie. But it caught and landed me a many fish. I went to the SOS line as I feel all around it is the best line I have tried and I have tried a lot. I have tried the so called Super Monos...Dam Tectan and Stroft. Didn't work out for me. May I ask what it is you don't like about the SOS? Try the CX Premium from P-Line.

P-line is all I fish and I love it. It is a super strong line. I have straighten slider head jig hooks out with the 6 lb line. Oh, and the 20 lb. striper I am holding in my avatar was caught on 8 lb. P-line.

All i use in SOS.
Bought a 20,000 yard spool of it. I change every week when fishing most days during week.
The best.

There are many factors on choosing a line. The reason I use SOS is that when you look at all aspects......knots......casting distance......and manageability......it handles all of those extremely well.

SOS line is definitely the best. It is very strong for its small diameter. It also ties great knots.

I don't care for the SOS because it seems to have too much "memory" and is "stiff". Where is the best place to check out the CX Premium in 2lb test. I may be off base here. Sure are lots of good comments about SOS line from others who have fished 2lb test lines more than I have. I have used stren and trilene and liked them better than SOS.

I bought my CX premium at bass pro.

They have it on the website....you have to get the 3000 yard spool online. You could have gotten a bad spool of SOS. It happens with all brands every now and then. The 20,000 yard spool of SOS I bought is as limp as fine hair. Do you live in the Mid TN area? Trying to figure a way to help you out here.

I bought mine at the Nashville store. They had smaller spools of 2 lb.

Yeah they have the smaller spools in house. I just gave away about 1500 yards of P-Line CX Premium to a father and son I was trying to teach how to fish two weeks ago. The 12 year old took to it like a pro....the father was another story...LOL. I still have quite a bit of CX Premium in 4# test....let me know if you want it Mike.
