Bait casting rod input

Im looking to buy a bait casting rod around the 100.00 mark or so. I see bass pro has there version bio sonic, extreme and carbon lite. Any thought with these 3 or any other brands? I know all pro is good too not sure of there price point. Dakota

I have always had the Bionic Blade rods and liked them.

But, I would also suggest shaking one of these over at Bass Pro:

Gary Loomis helped design them and they have great feel. My uncle just bought 4 or 5 of them after looking at the BPro rods.

Best deal in town right now is at Academy Sports. ABU Vendetta rods are $39, normally $79. The Cool Springs store had a better selection than Rivergate. I bought 4 spinning rods. They also have a Orra Baitcast combo for $99 + 30% off. The salesman said the reel itself sells for $99.
Sale ends tomorrow.

Do they also have the Vandetta baitcasting rod? I had one of those and for the price, they can't be beat. I had a BP Pro Qualifier reel on there and that was my cheapest rig and wouldn't you know it, it was also my favorite. Unfortunately, in a series of events to rival the best Bill Dance blooper, I broke the tip of the rod :(

I second the Academy Sports route. Abu Vendetta or Veritas are great rods and I have the 7'3" Vendetta and the 7' Veritas baitcasters. I bought several during the Rod Riot sale in the Spring. I also have the Academy H2O rods in 6'6"" in several different actions for spinners baits, flukes, etc. Great rod for the money. I would suggest you examine the Wright & McGill Skeet Reese rods too. My son has several of these and I really like them, $99.

Yes they had more baitcast rods than spinning rods in Cool Springs.

Ok very good I will check out the vendetta. I haven't even picked one up yet in any store to get a feel of one. I love throwing the bottom dweller spinner bait from strike king. Generally a spin cast guy but that big spinnerbaits can wear a guy down on spinning gear.

Good choice. You will be hard pressed to find a rod like the vendetta for $40 . I have a 7'11" veritas that is a super nice rod
