Ponds, Creeks, or anything but Old Hickory.
 

Me and my buddy are tired of fishing Old Hickory at the moment, all of our spots are just worn out. So does anybody know of any good ponds or other bodies of water in middle TN around Hendersonville that have some nice fish in them? Weve found a couple of neighborhood lakes on Google Maps and they were stocked with Bass but theyre no bigger than 12".

If you have a boat fish the river below. Fair warning though you may not ever go back to the lakeside to fish afterwards.

If you don't have a boat then look up the big creeks that dump into Old Hickory and follow those upstream but you might have to adjust your expectations down. There will be lots of numbers maybe not size.

Although some places may surprise you but that's all I am saying on here.

Do you mean there just aren't any fish on them or are you tired of catching the same size fish?

The lake is big and there a lot of options for good fish you just may need to change up tactics instead of bailing completely.

Yeah, i dont have a boat YET. Haha and i guess that wasnt the smartest questuon ever considering if people do know spots, theyre more than likely not gonna share them! Haha

And were just catching same size. Were kinda limited though cause we dont have a boat.

This is kind of hard without a boat but if you are stuck fishing areas of similiar depth and catching fish in the same size class then you need to switch depth range. Don't just move a little make a drastic move.

Example: you are constantly fishing 10-12ft deep areas you need to move either to less than 5ft or 20ft and deeper.

That will usually get you back around better fish or.. at least eliminate shallow or deep then go to the other.

You can walk the bank on the Cumberland quite a ways.

Also check out the feeder creeks on that side and go upstream. There are plenty of access point or pull-offs.
