Old Hickory report anyone?
 

I decided to clean the outside of my boat this weekend and didn't get out to fish. Does anyone know the water temp or have a fishing report on old hickory?

Was out yesterday, 8:00 till noon or rather until I couldn't take the wind anymore. Mid-Lake area, Bluegrass to Cedar Creek, water was 60 at the start and 61 when I left. Coolest temps in or near the main channel. Caught several dinks on a chatterbait on the outside edges of cane grass on points. The grass is beginning to turn green above the water line.

I went out Sunday before the rain, but ended up getting caught in it! Water temp was in the mid 60's and I didn't do that bad. Attached are a couple of the fish. Caught 6 total in about 2 1/2 hours on a swim jig, crankbait, and shakey head. And missed one that was in the 5 lb range. All were caught between 2 - 7 feet. I'm convinced I could have had a great afternoon if the rain would have held out a while longer because I caught 2 within a 10 minute period right before I got soaked.
