Ryans New Boat
 

Everyone likes the excitement of taking a new boat out for the first time. On Tuesday morning Ryan Ruff picked up his new Sea Pro center console boat from T&S Marine in Oakwood, GA and headed home. He called me and asked if I would like to meet him at the boat ramp to lake test the boat. I told Ryan the I would bring eight trolling rods with me and all the stuff we would need to use them. All he needed to bring was the rod holders and life jackets.

Ryan first went on a Striper/Hybrid trip with me year before last. We had a great day on Tims Ford Lake trolling Urigs highlighted by two 18 pound stripers and many smaller ones. That hooked him. Ryan really started pursuing the fish and finally sold his Fountain pleasure boat and his Bass Tracker. He ordered this new Sea Pro with everything on it for Striper and Hybrid fishing. He will end up adding down riggers and a filtered bait tank eventually. Many of us Striper fishermen started out crappie fishing and bass fishing and made the switch to the fish with linesides. Ryan even had a Striper tattooed on his right shoulder. I draw the line at that point! It is great to see someone as excited about the sport as Ryan has become!
