Put in seven points around 7:30 and ran up to the the Vevrette no wake zone and it was chocolate milk which tons of debris floating. I turned around and idled out till it cleared some and dropped the trolling motor and put out two rods with 1/16 ounce Marabou jigs and two with minnows and started trolling out of the mud. There were bait and fish busting all over then.... my pole slams down and know I have a hybrid on. 15 minutes later I land a 9 pound 10 ounce hybrid on a black and chartreuse jig. LOL Not what I was after but it was fun. I kept trolling the middle section by the island and darned if I didn’t land a 6 pound 12 ounce hybrid on a white jig. I couldn’t catch a crappie in the mud so I moved out around to the cove by cable crossing island and finally found some crappie. I ended the day with 6 hybrids with 4 over 6 pounds, 7 keeper crappie, and a channel cat.
It was a good day overall. If anyone is looking for hybrids, they are in Suggs Creek. EVERYWHERE |

Those make for a fun day on the water.

Nice hybrids. I went out today too near Hobson Pike bridge. I had a mixed bag of yellow bass, smallmouth, and a drum. Still trying to figure out a pattern.
