Electronics
I may be in the market for some electronics for my boat. I am looking for SI and DI as well. My question is an opinion I guess, but which would you choose for ease of learning to use. I am very illiterate to new things so I would need something easy to figure out. We crappie and bluegill fish.
Thanks, Duane |

Love my helix 7si. Screen is a bit small but price was a concern of mine so it was a compromise. Don't forget a good map chip. I bought lakemaster plus chip and that makes a big difference for navigation. My only regret is not spending the money for touchscreen. Makes everything so much easier.

Thanks, I have never used any electronics and really wasn't sure where I even needed to start. Thank you for the pointers. I will make sure to bring them up.
As far as money I don't want to have to mortgage the house but I do understand you get what you pay for. So I'm sure it will be expensive. Thanks again guys, Duane |
I have a HDS-7 Gen2 Touch and HDS-9 Gen 3 which is also a touch screen. I love the touch screen it makes things much simpler. Just like using a smartphone. I have them networked together too which is nice.
You might consider this one: http://www.lowrance.com/en-US/Produc...lite-9_Ti.aspx Shop around for the best price. I haven't used one so I don't have a "review". |
Get a Garmin Striker 7SV, down and side imaging. GPS for tracks and waypoint marking but not mapping. $499
