Finally had a chance to get to the Caney this morning for the first time in a while. Fishing was terrific once I figured out what color they wanted. Caught close to 40 trout on the fly rod between 6 and noon. Caught one brown just under 18" and had a couple rainbows shake off that we're pushing the 20" mark. Overall, it was a great morning until I went to leave.

I took two spinning rods and a fly rod with me this morning. I didn't use the spinning rods much at all so I left them off to the side while I fished. I didn't keep a close eye on them but I really didn't notice anyone close to me so didn't think anything of it. Farthest I got was probably 100 yards away. When I went to leave, my rods were gone. Nice older couple up the river said that there had been two guys fishing down that way that I didn't see that walked out with a handful of spinning rods. 😡

I suppose it could have been an honest mistake but I doubt it. They weren't terribly expensive but definitely put a damper on an otherwise great morning. This was down by Lancaster if anyone hears anything.

Awesome catch. Sorry to hear about your rods getting lifted. No way it was an honest mistake.

Beautiful fish.. That's a downer about the rods.. been a lot of stealing going on around.. I've even seen, where a license plate was stolen..

Yeah...mine!!! After fishing with TNBRONZEBACK and agelessone. I blame agelessone!!! Seems when I fish with him, something happens to my truck. Lol
