5 Attachment(s)
My grandad gave me this gun and I have not been able to really find that much about it....it's a marlin 22 I think it's either a 1957 or 1960 model. The serial number is p1619 and is a model 39a . It has ivory on it at least that's what I think it is. It has engravings and carving of a mountain lion or leopard on the stock. I think someone had to had it customized. Cause I still have not found one on the internet nor has anyone seen one before. Any info Will be appreciated thanks.

In the 50's it was common for consignment customization of firearms. The butt has been lengthened for a larger framed person. It is advised to not alter the firearm in any way, simply give it a good cleaning and preserve it as a show piece.

Thanks for the info notorious! Found out it was manufactured in 1957 but the carvings and engravings were done outside the factory. Wish I could find out who done them. But thanks guys.
