Hick the next couple of days

Hey I'll be on old hickory the next few days and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I'll be sure to let everyone know if I figure anything out so yall can hopefully catch some this weekend. Thanks

I fished Cedar creek last Sunday and caught some good fish on buzzbaits and spinnerbaits in the grass. Sounds like things are changing day to day though.

If you intend to launch on your side of the lake/river I would suggest focusing on Barton and Spring Creeks with maybe a run up to Bledsoe. Like The Hick said above if you can find the cane grass along the shoreline and it is beginning to show green shoots of new growth, wear it out with a buzz bait. Throw all the way to dry ground and bring it back through the grass.

I have been on good fish the last 5 days fishing the creek channels. All of the bass I've caught have been from 5 - 10 feet deep.

So there are fish to be caught just about anywhere you want to try.

I caught this one yesterday.

What a beast, did you have a scale? She is a big girl.

U can catchem just about any way you want. I fished today and caught somewhere between 30-40. Most were small but a few good ones mixed in. My best advise for catching a good one is under boat dick catwalks and any cover around a dock in 5-8 fow. Creek channel banks have been key as well. I'm catching them anywhere from 1-15 fow

Nothing like giggling like I'm 13 while reading this. You think he's fishing a 12" black powerbait worm?

Oops.

Smithcotrapper 04-20-2016 09:24 PM

Thanks everyone. Went for a hour and half and caught a keeper by sandy chapel on a blade bait.

Yeah, I had a scale. Pictures are so deceiving. It weighed 4 lb. 4 oz.

It is hard to get a picture when you are by yourself that doesn't look all skewed.
