boat lights

I have power to my light bases and I checked the lights and they work but when i install the light in the base in does not work so i'm thinking the bases are corroded and not making good contact. is there anyway to clean the bases (spray solvent, etc) to make them work or am i going to have to buy new ones. thanks for any and all input.

Commdd, Yes go to the local Auto Parts store and pick up a can of electro clean, or any brand of electrical cleaner... Spray contacts and use a "Q" tip and clean them ... You may have to do this more than once .... <'TK>< :)
