Probably a stupid question but...

I have never had a 24-volt trolling motor before. I have one now and have the 2 trolling batteries all set up and everything works great. My question is this, can I connect a 12-volt submersible fishing light to one of the batteries as they are currently hooked up or will it blow the light?

I have my second bilge pump set up that way. Just hook it to the negative and positive on the battery that is on the negative side of your trolling motor setup. That will give you 12 volts.

I may not have explained that well. Does that make sense?

Thanks. That makes sense. It was what I was thinking. When I am using these lights I won't be using the trolling motor.
