Seeing some Hydrilla

So I played hookey from work today, sticking it to the man. Found hydrilla beds across from Bluegrass Cove on the Wilson County side. Bass were crushing shad on the edges and I hammered them on 1/8 Oz buzzbaits on a spinning rod with 20lb braid. Not much size but lots of fun. Let’s hope and pray the grass is making a comeback.

I don't spend much time on OH these days and when I do, I'm almost always on the upper end and I haven't noticed any up there. My fishing mentor spends all his time on the lower end and he's telling me that there is submergent grass everywhere on the lower end. I never got to fish the glory days of OH when it was full of grass. I hope that no one sprays it and it's a sign of future glory days

You owe it to yourself to go down towards the dam and fish it. Lock 3 area is FULL of it. I’ve caught some nice fish on a swim jig and a thumper worm this year swimming it over the grass. I just bought a big heavy flipping stick to do some punching next year.
