The beauty of UL angling.

It don't take big fish to have a ton of fun with the gear I use. Past couple of days have been very good for me. All fish caught on JDM UL rods...using 2.3# test "Ester" mono line....a Daiwa Gekkabijin 1.5 gram jig head with a #8 hook, and of course a Sow Bug colored Trout Magnet. Only fished about 3 hours each day.....can't do the heat anymore. Had 2 dozen crappie on Friday...all crappie at or over the 13 inch mark.....and a very nice 15 inch KY bass. On Thursday it was a bit slower but managed several smaller KY bass and 2 toads on the Major Craft Fine Tail Banshee 6' 7" UL Area Trout Rod. Just a whole lot of fun. First of 2 videos is here should you want to watch.

Those are some fat bass!
Thanks for the report. |
Some fatties indeed. Great report and thanks for sharing such detail.
It reminds me, whenever I see an angler's boat in pics and everything is organized, neat, functional and where it should be, that my game need some serious work. My rig is a hot mess by the end of a trip with bitten off and spit out plastic bait nubs, pliers, net, rods, copenhagen cans, diet dew bottles, dead shiners, etc... Always enjoy your posts and vids on YT. Thanks. |
great video
Thanks for posting!
