Old Hickory 4/29
Deezlteck and I fished the Sunday morning Jack pot tourney out of Saunders ferry park in Hendersonville. This is a 3 fish weigh in. Started off slow this morning but the sun shines on this old dogs butt today. Around 9:30-10AM, we started filling the livewells. ALL of our fish came on a shakey Head with a 4 inch worm. FINESSE!!! Hahahaha. Ended up WINNING the tournament with 8.95 and also won big fish with a 4.10. We had to go through about 60 fish to get them, had 12 keepers I believe. Great day to be on the water.

Congrats. I guess I know now what I should have done different. Dang it. To stubborn to try that little turd Rig

Congrats on the win! I was humbled trying to fish this weekend. Fished fri and sat at Ky lake and only had 6 small 10-12" bass for both days;but I did lose a couple nice fish Friday.

Most of those 60 were 10-13.5 inchers I think we had around 12 keepers. And we’re not throwing the “turd” rig....lol it’s a 3/16 oz shakey Head with a 4” small worm. Last two tournaments we’ve fished, it has done well. It was the only thing we caught a keeper on this week. Thanks again for all the congratulations, it’s one more item checked off the bucket list! Congrats man...that's pretty cool!!!
I also was up at KY lake this past weekend, and was also humbled. We flipped bushes and docks and every other shallow water structure with little results. The few fish that were caught, however, were pretty nice: 4 1/2, 5, and 6 1/2 lbers. There were a few others, but not much size. None of the males had bloody tails and the one female (the biggest one) was full of eggs. Water was in the 62-64 degree range. In my, uh, "professional" fishing opinion, they weren't bedding yet although we heard a few other people say the reason we couldn't catch them was because they were on bed. Got me. All I know is we didn't catch 'em!! |
You can make money fishing?
