Stripers are on Fire! Walleye not so much :)

Been trolling Belotes Bar this week & the Stripers are out and about! We've been dragging live shad, flicker shad, & crawlers, so far the only takers are on the shad. Can't seem to find any Walleye yet, so if you got a line on 'em, Please Share :)

Well that answers my question Lol. I plan on going out there in the morning or possibly Sunday. Has there been much flow when you were out there?

Anything less than 11,600 and it's a ghost town. Today would have been perfect but the rain forecast scared me away. I'm hoping someone will go out there and hook into some eyes so I know to keep plugging away at it.

Eyes are better eating but I think that is a fair trade off.

All I got is white bass in the freezer! I'm not complaining about catching these suckers! They are my wife's favorites anyhow! But I do need some eyes on ice...

Is that one of those Buffalo Jills? Im going after Walleye soon on Center Hill and Dale Hollow. Got some new techniques I want to try.

Good Luck! I'm determined to pull some out of Old Hickory.

That's right. She does it all and not afraid of shad scales or guts :)

Nice fish! You seem to be wearing them out.

I fished belotes bar Saturday afternoon throwing 6xds and dragging a football jig. No luck on the 6xd but did catch 2 short fish on the jig.

It's hit or miss for sure. You caught 2 short bass?

Yeah largemouth, was hoping to entice a striper but no luck. I did see what looked to be about a 40lber floating dead down the river. It was hard to tell his size he was so bloated.

I did see on a facebook post on old hickory anglers where a guy has been catching the rockfish in the early hours upstream from the 231 bridge. catching them off of a hump with swimbaits and flukes. Not sure exactly where he is fishing.

I haven't made it up that far this year. We were talking about trying it soon. Haven't really needed to since they've been down this way so consistently. Drop you some live shad down there, they'll take it!
