New Hobby

My friend's dad has always made these for us in the past but has now gotten too old to tie them. I started with bare hooks. poured the lead and painted the heads and now I'm tying hair jigs for white bass, hybrid and crappie. These are 1/4 oz heads with 1/0 hooks. Can't wait to try them out! It's actually a lot of fun and is a good way to kill a cold rainy winter day.

Managed to hit up the dam at center hill and caught several nice browns with them Sunday. It was a great way to try them out!

Nice.
I have watched YouTube videos of Phil Lilley on Lake Taneycomo catch trout on white hair jigs .
I have picked up a few to try out.

Awesome.

I love tying my own Jigs as you get to come up with all kinds of styles and the satisfaction of knowing it "fish" hit your selection of home made jig.

I catch a few smallies and smaller Rock fish on OHL.

Good job, that takes some patience.

Wow, those look great! What a reward to catch fish on jigs you made from scratch. Hats off to you. I’m not patient enough to do anything like that. Ha
