I missed the biggest buck of my life today
 

That is all! We had just got back to the house from eating lunch and we were talking about the afternoon hunt when I caught a deer out of the side if my eye moving through the field. We both jumped out of the truck and I had to wait on my friend to unlock the bed so I could grab the rifle. By the time we made it to the edge of the hill the buck was about 180 yards away, I shot at 200 as he started to trot away. Borrowed rifle, bad form and a long shot, I was disappointed. I do plan on going back in the next few weeks. I saw two other bucks and a doe this morning, apparently that is a really slow morning.

Just keep after him, stay in his area and he will show back up. These cooler temps should keep them moving.

Thats a bummer man! Like Deez said though, just stay on him, he will slip up eventually. Got a few weeks left to send him down for a dirt nap.
