Aerator question
My friend has a Bass Tracker..the live well in the front fills fast and quickly..when he hits the switch for the back one..Nothing....It will drain though ...whats going wrong?

Probably either the switch or the pump. Either should be pretty easy fix. The pumps usually just screw in and out. It could be as simple as the switch isn't hooked up especially if it's an older boat and he's not the original owner.

He just bought it year before last brand new off floor at Bass pro..Bass trackers said they booked up for 3 weeks..WOW!
I'll tell him what you said..Thanks! |
I guess the first question is:
Did it ever work?...then a problem lay with the switch or well selector If it never worked...then the selector switch is defunct or wired wrong from the start (boats are like campers...mostly haphazardly built on minimum wage workers who don't give a crap if it works or not)...{former marine mechanic, so I can validate this claim} Check if the lines are clear of silicone and flow...from experience. Find the selector switch and confirm it is functioning or if it even exist. Typically there is a switch that controls the flow of water to each of the live-wells. Use a hose pipe and flow water into the pick-up and exit lines from the rear on the transom to confirm their usage and purpose. |
I agree with the above and would add check fuses.
