Whites at Nickajack.

Had some good G2 on the white bass at Nickajack from fishing buddy John Collins. So off I headed to try for some fish. Well as shown in sonar images I found them....plenty of them. Today I used a Major Craft Truzer 6’ 5” Ajing “Hard” model UL rod. Reel was a Shimano TwinPower C2000HGS spooled with 2# test SOS line. Lure today was a 1/8 ounce pink Fin Spin with a MidNight Blue Slab Curly. I caught over 80 fish in 4 hours. All the fish appeared to be males...all cookie cutter in the 12-13 inch range. While I did not find the big females it was a lot of fun on the UL gear....these fish were “Diggin” with water temps close to 54-55 degrees. The dam is releasing 100,000 CFS of water and there are 2 sand bars I want to fish but with all that current it was hard to do.....had to stay in the flat water. With more rain coming I have no idea when those gates will be closed but you can bet with the next nice weather day I will be right back down there! Life is good!

Regards

Sweet image. Can you “video game” fish with a lure that small on 2D sonar?

Oh yeah.....my transducer is at the stern of the boat. I rarely use 2d sonar as I very rarely vertical jig. But a 1/8 ounce shows up very well......even the 1/16 and 1/32 will show up. A 4mm size tungsten jig head lights it up like a Christmas tree.
