Fishing today 03/18

Any thoughts on the fish bite later today after the rain on OHL?

Typically the fishing slows down after a cold front but I agree with Alpha here, you never know. MOST of the time when I fish after a front, it's very tough, but I have been surprised before.

If you're itching to go, GO!

Largemouth and white/yellow bass bite very good in Barton's Creek area on OHL. Good luck!

I'm still out I just had to post a pic. It's no record but its my personal best. A shade over 4# on my cheap scales at 20". Ohh and I put it back. Lol

Told you.....your day has been a good one if you catch nothing else. Life is good!

That is indeed a dandy of a bass! I think the key is your still slightly pre cold front, things may be a little tougher come tomorrow. But I'm with the "go when you can crew", I'm sure there will be some catchs posted tomorrow as well.

It was in like a foot of water. Caught on a black rooster tail on 4# line. As far as the shad kill. I have no idea what a shad kill really is. I only saw 3 dead shad around the dock at cairo..None anywhere else I was

Nice bass! That's a dandy!! As far as the shad kill, you would know if you saw it. I saw it below Old Hick Dam a few weeks ago, thousands of shad dead or barely kicking!

Nice job. I wanted to get out on OH real bad but don't know if I can get out this weekend.

Did you happen to get a water temp?

Thanks!

The corps site hasn't been very reliable. About time to hit it at night for me.

What are you targeting when you fish at night?

Bass. The one next to my screen name was caught in March. I watch the water temps and once they stay upper 50's-low 60's overnight I go in search of big fish that have moved up on the flats. It's less boat traffic and air temps don't matter as much by that point which makes them less likely to drop back to deeper water.
