What about 7 Points? I made the first one for about an hour then had to go to work. I am going to try and take off for this one but being in Real Estate that can be difficult. Very good fishing there.

Transplanted Sportsman 01-03-2014 06:24 PM

Either date should be fine for me!, I can bring whatever I can buy, I cannot commit to bring any fish that I caught until I get into Alpha's fish catching clinic, or have a seminar from TX native, hey Mike I will also bring some red solo cups!!

thehick176 01-04-2014 04:53 PM

Count me in +3. I will keep track of the thread to see what I need to bring

Reel Tune 01-06-2014 08:59 AM

SAMBOLIE had a great idea of a gear swap. So if you have any gear you would like to bring to sale, or trade go for it.

But from what I hear all of SAMBOLIE's gear is cursed with never being able to catch a fish. Buyers beware!! :D

jad2t 01-06-2014 09:06 AM

Is this fishermen only or are wives and a very friendly golden retriever/yellow lab mix allowed to join the party?

I'm fine with wife's, kids, and friendly animals as long as the location is, and everyone else is ok with animals.

If you guys are going to do wife, kid, and animal swaps you can coordinate that on your own time:D

Heiny57 01-10-2014 01:35 PM

I will attend if I am in town for the date. I travel for work and that is to far out to know for sure.

I've tried it twice. I lost both ways TWICE! Just won't work.

tacklemake 02-02-2014 09:32 AM

What happen to when and where to hold the gathering? It was great at sanders ferry park Why not do it again for one of the two gatherings ............woody

Fishaholic 02-04-2014 10:04 PM

I agree with Woody especially if we get the big pavillion next to the boat ramp which has plenty of space a giant grill there already plenty of parking for boats and a playground

agelesssone 02-04-2014 10:14 PM

I'm taking the Snorkster and the daughter out on the boat so I can bring in three limits?

I'm leavin the wife on shore for you guys to deal with. Could be talked into a trade, so tell me what you got. But the dog and girl aren't available for the tradin!

tkwalker 02-05-2014 01:38 AM

jaysouth 02-05-2014 03:21 AM

Sander's works for me. Easy for directionally challenged old folks to find, again.

Instead of "The Agelesssone" .... It will be "The Bobberlesssone" ... Yep, No floats for your pole ...

agelesssone 02-05-2014 09:47 PM

LOL, I just read this post to Susi and she loves it, especially "no bobbers for my pole!"

She didn't seem to be too keen on bein traded for fishing tackle. Says I've got enough to outfit a bait shop.

tkwalker 02-06-2014 01:02 AM

Ohhhhhuuueee ... <'TK><

Don't want to go there but I'll take her word for it ... LOL !!! :)

Alright guys the date is set for Saturday May 3rd, and it seems like Sanders Ferry Park is a good central location.

It was brought to my attention that we could get a shelter at Shelby Park for free from one of our gracious members here, but it didn't seem as if there was much interest in Shelby Park.

Shelter (8) the large one by the water holds 250 people and the cost to me will be $200.00 for the day. This is the one everyone is talking about, it would be a little overkill to the group we had last year around 35-40???.
I don't know if its available or not. If everyone wants me to get it I will try.

Doesn't matter to me but you should not have to pay for that shelter from your pocket. That costs needs to be spread out to those of us who attend and each one pay our share.

I'm in for it, let me know what my share is.

I'd like to see you and SAMBOLIE simultaneously put on a fishing seminar.

Reel Tune 02-06-2014 02:21 PM

If we can find a resident of Hendersonville to reserve it, it will be $150. I do not know any residents of Hendersonville personally or well enough to give money to and rely on them to reserve the right shelter. If we can agree upon shelter 8, and if we want to do that I'll front the money to a respected person if we can find one.

Contact either gboyce or tacklemake. They are both Hendersonville residents, both retired and both are humongously wealthy!

I'm sure either would be willing and able to reserve it for us.
