Hey Jeremy, I just checked flippers bait and tackle site out of curiosity. There is another tourney that day out of Flippers (100 boats Old Hickory Bass Anglers) as well.

Whether it changes anything or not just thought you might want to know.

Thanks for clearing that out Jeremy, I will wait and see what the weather does, I will come for sure, but if there is rain or high winds I will be there by myself in the yak, no sense on taking my daughter on a nasty day if that happens to be the case!

Michael Ernst Charity Event Febuary 22nd
 

I have a meeting Wednesday and everything will be finalized then.

In the meantime I would like to try to get a headcount to see who is coming, and who may be coming.

So if you are attending, or think you are attending please let me know by replying to this thread, or sending me a pm, whatever you are comfortable with.

EDIT - Actually, count me in. If it's too cold for my gear, then I'll hang out, meet people, and help out any way I can.

I will not be fishing but may show up depending on weather. tcintn I think has the Trout Magnet give aways covered so that is good. I sent in a donation to Mike and suggest others who can't come do the same....if one can do so. It is a good charity and he will represent us well in the event. Hope the weather is good for the event.

Last night Craig, Mike and I, and our spouses met up to further discuss ideas, and thoughts. It was a very constructive meeting and we made a lot of ground.

We have about $1500 in prizes to give out, and looking for more if anyone would like to donate.

Most Total Inches

I just secured a private room at the Cherokee Steakhouse and Marina located just down river at 450 Cherokee Dock Road Lebanon, TN 37087. This is where the awards ceremony will be held.

All photos must be turned in here (Cherokee Steakhouse) by 7pm.

This will probably take an hour or more for the judging so this will give a warm place for everyone to mingle, and have a good warm meal. They do not serve alcoholic beverages so if you would like bring your own.

With having this secured I will need a definite head count.

Spread the word this is going to be a great event. All proceeds are going toward the charity (Whizz-Kidz).

IMPORTANT
If you are using a phone for the photos, your phone will be surrendered during the judging process, and please bring a cable with a USB connection if possible. If you do not want to surrender your phone bring a camera with a memory card. Also bring a cable for your camera, or card reader.

Any questions or comments please ask, respond, or PM. There has been no tournament like this one before so we are trying to eliminate the speed bumps before they slow us down.

FANTASTIC IDEA! After a long day of fishing in the cold nothing would be better than a plate of hot steak, potato, and veggies!
