Not even a bite. I did not know where to go. It felt the same as throwing a Crappie magnet into the Gulf of Mexico. Next time I go I will take someone that knows something about it or pay for a Guide. The marina says it is open year-round but it is now closed until March

Hey.......I caught croaker and trout throwing a Trout Magnet into the Gulf. :D

Just poking fun, I know those days are rough. It can be a very intimidating lake if you never fished it before.

Looks like some type of grebe...loons are much larger with a longer pointier beak.

That's what I was thinking, looks small for a loon. Loons are pretty big birds.
