Either way is fine. One reason to park @ happy Hollow is, if you have any motor issues you can always float back to your vehicle. I Fish the pond area quite a bit directly below the dam so I always park at the Buffalo Valley ramp, drift down and motor back up. Also, watch out for strainers/sunken tree's off the bank. In that size craft you would have to be careful on low water/no generation unless you have a jet outboard, not to say that it couldn't be done on a prop style engine. I just have not tried, the shoals can get very shallow when generators and sluice are not in operation.
