Nice fish but at 14 degrees you can have my spot in the boat...I don't stray far from the couch when it's that cold :D

It was actually nice today. The wind was cut by the trees so it was pretty manageable. I am ready for spring though.

One of the Yackers that was on the opposite side of my boat out there today was out there since 11pm in the Yak he left at like 930a. I asked him gosh what kind of gear are you wearing I want some of that! he replied "not enough" lol.... He is on the forum too, but forgot his user name he landed a really nice one as well!
Good seeing you out there today Juice and again congrats on the Striper, nice Gaff job by the way mr.Catch and Eat lol.

TXnative is the crazy guy who stays out for 36 hours at time. Gaff, pff thats what I bring the bat for. makes it much easier to land them once they are "stunned" :) After you left and I moved in to your spot I started catching fish. Thanks for leaving :)

I only gaff the trophies. The smaller ones I'll just let flop around in the kayak banging into treble hooks and plastic edges until they calm down a bit.

Are you trying to say that jad2t isn't capable of catching a trophy?
Well, sir, harrumph! You obviously haven't seen the photograph of the monstrous carp he foul hooked and fought valiantly for 20 minutes and successfully landed without a gaff even being present in the boat!
I, for one can stand witness to this fine display of angling skill as can the noble and unassailable gentleman named Michael Ernst!
Mr jad2t has angling skills unseen and unheard of in this day and age!

Yea how many of you can say you caught a carp using a 5" swimbait? Carp don't even eat other fish!!

A great example of luck prevailing over skill. What dumb ass would use a bait that the target fish does not eat. :)
