Actually it is more of a float question than the trout magnet itself.
I understand, somewhat, the theory behind their floats that have the split all the way down the side of them.
I seem to lose alot of floats when I catch fish though.
The larger the fish the more often I lose my float.
I feed the line through the black piece then through the float.
When I set my depth I then wrap the line around the black piece and insert it into the float.
When the line pulls "off" the black piece the float then comes off the line through that split in it.
Am I doing something wrong or is this just the nature of the beast so to speak?
It's not a BIG deal, as I can order the bulk pack any time but just curious if I could do something different in my set-up to help stop it.
