Lake Lanier Winter Striper

I'm headed to Lake Lanier in the next few weeks to do some striper fishing with my brother. I'm putting in at Browns Bridge Road near his house. Any idea where we can find some winter stripers?

South end of the lake deep in the trees. They will come out of there if the water temps stay consistently in the low mid 50's otherwise target those area.

Always look for the bait finders...loons, gulłs and herons.

If a loon is diving then coming up a long ways away he hasn't found any bait. If he goes down then comes back up in a small area he's in bait and striper will use them to help ball bait up.

Gulls watch thier posture. Tighter they are flying in circles the bait is balled up and higher they are from the water means deeper that bait ball.

Herons sitting on point with head tucked is a resting heron but a heron with neck extended has found bait and actively hunting. Always stop and fish this on main lake points.

A lot of searching in winter but you can definitely target them.
