Current Tennessee state record (according to TWRA site) is 16.15. 28 pound fish on 6 pound test is my kind of fishing.

Huge rainbow.

Poorly informed journalism. "A steelhead trout is a rainbow trout longer than 20 inches." That statement is incorrect. Example, there are no "steelhead in the Caney or Obey but plenty of rainbows over 20 inches.

Steelhead in the true sense are anadromous, sea residing fish that travels up into freshwater rivers to spawn. There are also lake run versions that do this on a smaller scale from big freshwater reservoirs up into tributaries.

Those babies are like lightning in a bottle too once ya hook em! amazing fight in those fish in those small streams.

Yeah I seen the article this morn before work that is one fat-ass fish look how wide the dang thang is.

In 1991 I was in Washington State and wish I would have fished for
Salmon or Steelhead but only caught Halibut/flounder and Pile Perch at the piers and an octopus by accident (itty bity).
