The pond ?

I have seen several references to "the pond" on the Caney.

Just curious what this was?

Tailwater just below the dam ?

Yes......the area away from the wing wall. Actually it is the area from the base of dam over to the left of wing wall as you face the dam. It is a relatively calm area when the sluice is not on. If sluice is on not safe for anyone.
