Ok, rookie question here. How long does it take by boat to run from OH dam to downtown Nashville? Also, is it a relatively safe run? I have a 20ft bay boat drafting maybe 16-18 inches. Cruising at 28 mph ish. Thanks for your input!

I have a 19ft Triton with a 175 HP. Its a good 20 minute run wide open. That's if theres not a bunch of debris or barge traffic. Just follow the channel buoys and you'll be fine.

Chip, Myself, Lived in Savannah, Ga. for a number of years Graduated from High School and attended Armstrong.. and my Bride whom I married was from there I know where you are coming from ... Different from Coastal waterways and tides etc .. The Cumberland river is a navigable water way ... Don't worry about depth as long as you stay in the buoy boundaries ... Welcome to FishingTN ... A Great bunch of Guys Here !! <'TK>< :)

Shorter runs if you put in at Heartland, Peeler, or Shelby Park.

Like said already, please stay off the rivers, and creeks right now, it's not safe. I had 3 guys coming in from Colorado to fish with me this weekend, but I'm trying to get them to change their minds the extremely high waters, and now this cold front.
