Does anybody have any guesses as to how long it will be before the upper parts of JPP start to clear up? I'm sure they look like chocolate milk with logs floating in them. I'd like to fish Stewarts Creek or Lamar Hill in the next few days.

Good post I will be back in town and wanted to fish the lower end Sunday, what does everyone think? TVA reports it is 4 feet high. It usually doesn't get to muddy below the bridge.

Water had very little color at the dam and in Hamilton Creek about noon today. That is from the shore as I do not have a boat. It is very, very high.
Water is being released at the dam.

The Walter Hill dam on the stones was completely under water yesterday. Maybe a week or more before upper lake clears.

What about Center Hill? My trip to Celina got cancelled due to rain so I don't be on DH and the Obey River...

I can't wait for it to clear up and drop the water level.

Creekcrappie, let us know when the water your way clears some. I don't care about the high water.

You guys be safe if you are taking the yak or in a boat. There is a bunch of water coming out of the sluice gates. Each gate can release about 1600 cfs and CH has 6 of them I believe.

Shoot.,. I was asking about CHL water clarity. I hope that's what RXFISH was referring too. Yeah they are flat moving some water on the Caney. I may hit that Sunday AM.

If they continue running 6K, by Sunday it should be down another foot or so. Maybe 492ish? I normally do Fate Sanders area but am going to take a stab at Smith Springs -- virgin area but should avoid muddy water, logs, and a dead body or two.

Water is very clear at Smith Springs. Also still very high. It is up to the sign at the ramp that tells how many drowned without a life preserver.

Rode up to Centerhill today and the water is high but it is very clear. Visibility is not a problem.

Yeah CHL looks great but all I could get into last night was some fat gills. Had a few hits on jigs but couldn't land any. Stopped by the Dam on the way out and was going to chuck some spoons into the boils, but went on home.
